Cannabis Confessional

I hold a Lifetime Prescription Rx for the use of Cannabis.  I have a permanent partial disability in my neck called acquired deformity of the neck with permanent ligament instability.

When the WA cannabis access laws changed in 2016 – my Rx became null.

I used to grow my own weed.  I had an indoor room inside of the back of a greenhouse and it had two sections inside for my girls.  One section was lit 24/7 for the vegetation and the other section was a little larger and was the flowering room.  I had a system down and I could produce weed non-stop through the seasons.  Not only did I grow in the secret stealth room, but I also took advantage of the greenhouse.  When the greenhouse temperatures were reaching the extremes  – the girls were found scattered in the yard in plain sight in the bushes.  We had over an acre of property with over 40 empty acres in the back yard so we were never concerned about aroma spreading.

I enjoyed growing many variety of cannabis and found some easier to cultivate than others.  Juicing the cannabis leaves is part of my healthcare routine.  I had come up with my own way to cure the flowering cannabis.  Half of the girls were cured in the usual customary way.  Half of the girls were harvested and then submerged under water for 5-7 days.  The waters get changed out every day and then at the end of the time you take the plants out of the water and hang them to dry.  In a matter of days your weed will be ready to jar.  This water cure was created to allow for full plant extraction without cellulose and chlorophyl.  I just found that I did not want to apply green oil onto my body so I found a way to remove the green along with the heavy terpene overflow.  In a massage lubrication you want the benefit of the cannabis without the terpenes.  (this shocks many in the cannabis community.) You want to feature other aroma like lavender, patchouli or sandalwood.  Over time I learned that the trichomes are also matured in the water cure making for more of a body stone.

If you’ve followed this blog long enough you’ll know that I am also licensed to provide massage since 2008.  When you are injured, you want to find out how to heal yourself. I wanted to be surrounded by people that knew how to heal themselves and maintain health.  So I became licensed to massage so that I could also have access to personal wellness.

In 2013 I melded the two focus together.  Massage + Cannabis.  Massage oil with cannabis infused into it then massaged into the full body massage.  This was bliss.  I had several clients who survived cancer and understood the benefits of massage while in remission.  They were the first people I had proposed using the massage lubrication on.  These people were not using cannabis before the option to have it applied through their skin.

When those clients experienced the same results of relaxation and relief that I found while using cannabis in the massage creme I expanded my search.  I didn’t want to have to talk my clients into using cannabis at all.  I wanted to find those people who already understood the benefit of cannabis and had doctor permission to use it.

heal the sickweed

I located the WA Farmers Market and Sonshine Cannabis Medical Collective in 2013.  In the former medical cannabis access law, patients were allowed to come together and share their knowledge of how to medicate and what works for them.  On a donation basis, patients could share plants, seeds, flowers, concentrates, edibles, oils, topicals, tinctures, cremes, lotions, body oils, bath salts, mouth rinse, dog treats, and merchandise.

That platform was where from 2013-2016 I provided my professional massage to the medical cannabis community with cannabis lube.  Massage was already happening there before I showed up, but not legally.  I became the professional licensed massage practitioner with a lifetime weed Rx who also understood cannabis and what it could provide to the sick and injured.  This was BEFORE labs came onto the scene with their CBD/THC breakdown %.

In 2016 medical cannabis access laws changed with the vote of I502 in WA.  Recreational weed was created and cannabis farmers markets were out.

They created something called CHABA in WA.  Cannabis Health and Beauty Aids Act.  This act allows for CBD and THC to be applied or used within the professional massage with THC amounts no more than 0.3%.  CBD can be applied.  Cannabis cannot be applied by a professional massage practitioner because the plant is still a scheduled 1 drug.

I purchased a sample of CBD from Tennessee hemp when the laws were changing.  IT was an expensive sample.  I have no way to know how to break down my little bit of CBD into batches that are worthy of calculating the amount of CBD in each creme.  I found a 1oz. sample CBD creme retailed for sale at $45.  There is no way that it makes sense to rub that 1oz. sample onto the body and expect it last for the full body session.

I’ve been advertising from 2016-now that I am a CHABA massage practioner.  But honestly, I have had 0 interest in it.

I have 0 interest in providing massage at all.  If I can’t do it like I did before, there is no going back.

I created an online school to speak with other WA licensed massage practitioners about this subject but I ran into road block after road block.

Right now everything has ended.  I don’t grow weed.  I don’t have a Rx for weed or do I want one.  The DOH Department of Health where I annually renew my professional massage license is the same location where they provide medical cannabis prescription and collect data.  I’m out.  No data for you – only that I have my LMT massage therapist hat on when I go there.

What I am seeking out is another state with better medical cannabis access laws.

I cannot move forward with what I have done and know is best because of the govt need to collect data.  It’s made me bitter and jaded and taken my wellness back in time.

No I am not a CHABA massage practitioner.  I removed that from my advertising.  I don’t want to.  What we need is this marijuana plant to be rescheduled at the federal level and then I can continue my healing work.

I WANT WEED LUBE like I know it.  I want to rub it all over your body and then give you some creme to use in between your massage sessions.

The intellectual property I know works will not die with legislation.

HOW was I able to provide services 6 hours in a row, patient after patient – applying the cannabis weed lube to the body – sometimes with EXTRA THC – and NOT BE STONED?

Because weed through the skin is NOT psychoactive.

We need more research.  I need weed grown for research and a team to back me up!

Give me a state with better medical cannabis access.  #wellnessnotintoxication

Massage Silence

Last Thursday I wanted to make a post on silence but I couldn’t find a photo.  The universe was listening because just yesterday the daily photo post was on the very same topic – photograph SILENCE.

Silence – the absence of sound or noise.

Most often during a massage that I give to anyone – the music fails.

Most often during a massage that I give to anyone – there is silence.

Most often during a massage that I give to anyone – a presence larger than I shows up.

Most often during a massage that I give to anyone – comfort is found in silence.

Do you make time for silence, or does silence make time for you?

If you pay for a massage service with me – expect to witness this phenomenon.

The universe supports me.

That is why this topic has spread in one week from my initial idea about this post – to seeing others around wordpress blogging about the same thing.

I’ve been giving only 1 massage in a day if someone schedules one.  They get the best of me and I give my best to them.  253-952-0311 – leave a message to schedule.

You could learn a lot about yourself and the nature of your reality if you studied the language in which you use.

Balsalmic Moon

Anyone who shows up for their massage having any alcohol in their system will be turned away.

Anyone who shows up for their massage beer in hand will be shown the door.

Anyone passing judgement about cannabis use will not be given a second thought.

“If you haven’t tried it lady, don’t knock it.”

Anyone posting a job in Washington indicating a pre-employment drug screening including Marijuana as one of the drugs not allowed will not be given a second thought.

As a licensed professional in Washington state providing massage – I follow the CHABA.  Cannabis Health and Beauty Act.

I’ve been stoned in every moment of time since 2012. I have an acquired deformity of the neck with permanent ligament instability.

I run my own business.  I am a mother who feeds their children organic non-gmo foods.  I do not vaccinate just because.  The ‘doctor’ presenting reason to vaccinate must stake his career on the need.  I show up to school on time to pick up my kids and volunteer when possible.  I show up early and prepared to my appointment. I donate.  I pay my taxes.  I create things.

I do not take EBT nor receive benefit or compensation for my disability.

I pray for you and you don’t even know it.

Wellness, not intoxication.

The balsalmic moon is the time when messages arrive from spirit.

Daydream of Future

Gratitude.  Change the tides.  I’m dreaming a new dream.

As it is, I have to pay to play – I’m tired & I quit.

The daydream of future is BE PAID to play.

Gratitude offers us opportunities to SEE blessings.

What if someday we were paid to attend events at what we are worth?

“Gee Mrs. Swanson we are so grateful you came to our space today and shared your energy and time and what you are trained to do with us.  Thank you for coming – here is your paycheck, and then also my gratitude…in the form of more than I anticipated for exchange.”

Here is ALL of the “normal accepted payment for service”, and then we are grateful so we give you more.

Imagine a group collective seminar.  The group exchange of energy is one of gratitude.  The group attendees are honored and then given payment for their coming.

In these times, in order to attend a live healing event, we have to pay to play.  You like other healers?  You must pay the money game before you start.  Then you are just a vendor.

Who then, decides who IS a healer?  Whoever takes the pre-event cash vendor payment.

That then would make EVERYONE a healer.

So why even go to a doctor if you ARE ALSO a healer?

If he is, so am I.

I want to make it clear I don’t call myself, healer.  I KNOW how to work with the energies of increasing vibration.  I work in tandem with energies greater than myself.

As a licensed massage practitioner in WA, I could get a job working under a “doctor” or inside a group practice with LAC and DC and other LMT.  They OFFERED me $30/hour for my effort.  They make an agreement with their people that THEY will be paid, and then I will be given a percent for my time and what I was trained to do.  So I touch THEIR person for 50-55 minutes and there is an agreed amount for that time-on service ($65-75 around here).  Then at a later date, I am given my earnings of the percent of the time.  I did all of the work. They pimped out my service and I used their equipment, air, space, and people so I must pay part into the collective.

If I took the offer, I’d honestly fixate on what is not working – which isn’t healthy.

When using insurance, the insurance company decides the reimbursement you receive.

I get ONE(97124) code for medical insurance billing.  ONE.  I cannot give myself a raise $$$ with those terms.  ANY other physician’s clinic can charge for everything, the building , the staff, the equipment, the time AND what the “doctor” was trained to do.

1 simple Emergency room visit used to cost $99.  In 2017 it cost avg. $2000 – $500 before you leave the building.  At earning $30/massage I would have to do 66.6  massages (non-stop hands-on hours) before I could have $2000.  If I worked 4 days/week doing 4 massage each day it would take me 4 weeks to make that amount of money.  For a massage person, that is close to full time.

That is 16 hours a week for a month focused my personal time and energy on serving someones wellness.  That is what my time and energy amounts to – paying off the hospital.

After 10 years of service and college loans I cannot pay back for this choice of career – this information can no longer be swept under the rug.

The insurance company decides.

In my daydream, they are all grateful.  They dangle buckets more cash for my service than anyone. They provide ME with healthcare so that I can then turn around and deliver quality care to my people because I AM grateful.  My efforts are living gratitude.

In my daydream I am paid abundantly for my TIME AND WHAT I WAS TRAINED TO DO.

Above and beyond income = above and beyond energy.

Tune into the things in life that have REAL meaning.

gratitude stone

When you receive a massage from someone earning a paycheck to pay the bills, the healing energy is different.  They bring personal motivation.

When you receive a massage from someone earning income to turn around and spoil you again and again with – the energetic comes from a different place.  The healing then comes forth.  Gratitude begets gratitude.

I have a clear heart and clear vision.

Essential Oil Pantry

Mounted inside the massage room on the wall is a full essential oil pantry.  During the massage, any number of the oils are layered along the body depending on the presentation.  When I travel, the basket on the shelf in the picture can be filled up with several oils to be used in your own personal space.

At least one whole shelf was gifted to me.  Some of my oils come direct from Cairo, Egypt.  I have no particular oil preference.  There are two Marlene’s store nearby and if I ever run out of something requested or necessary, then I will drive there and pick up whatever kind they happen to have.  When it comes to the more expensive oils like Sandalwood, Frankincense or Melissa then I will look for a variety that produces a more pure product that is 100% therapeutic grade.

Once upon a time I conducted a survey to the general population to see if they could ‘smell out’ a better quality brand essential oil.

For example, one Saturday at the WA Farmer Market – I presented Bergamot in 3 forms.  The population entered the building and found a survey on a table.  Smell each bottle, and check the number you prefer: 1,2 or 3.  They were to smell Aura Cacia, Nature’s Pantry of Bulk Apothecary and Nestafari of Egypt.

7 total wrote a response.  4 chose Nature’s Pantry Bergamot.  2 chose Aura Cacia Bergamot, and 1 picked Nestafari Bergamot.

In my pantry you’ll find all of the big name essential oil creators and then also some local.  Lavender is a native plant of Sequim, WA.  I sourced my essential oil with that plant direct from where it grows nearby and I support my local farmer.

Each massage will leave you feeling so refreshed and so relaxed because the essential oils have unlocked the way to wellness.  Your full body massage is at least 70 minutes and includes the essential oil layering.  Please visit to contact.IMG_20170705_182208
